Quote from this book
"There are two kinds of bars in Hollywood! Purveyors of hard booze (who also sell beer and wine), and beer bars which depend on draught or tap beer for about 25c, the occasional aristocratic drinker of bottled suds, and a hell of a lot of potato chip and beer nut sales in order to make a profit. Competition in beer bars is fierce, the overhead high, the portion of the money from the overhead high, the portion of the money from the vendy (coin operated pool table and juke box) low, and the beer drinking swingers extremely faddish and restless. Beer bars collapse as often as the pins in the coin-operated bowling machines."
